Grand-Goâve is a municipality in the Arrondissement of Léogâne in the Ouest department in Haiti . It is located 68 kilometers southwest of Port-au-Prince . The city had a population of around 42,500 in 2015.

The city is one of the oldest cities in the country and was called Goâve by the indigenous people of Haiti. The Spaniards called it Aguava at the end of the 16th century. After French colonization, the French divided the city in half, Grand-Goâve and Petit-Goâve .

Grand-Goâve was 90% destroyed by the earthquake on January 12, 2010. All public buildings were destroyed, including schools, town hall and the police station.
