Départements of Haiti
The ten departments of Haiti ( Creole . Depatman Ayiti , French: départements d'Haïti ) are further divided into 41 arrondissements and 133 parishes.

Each department of Haiti has a department council ( conseil départemental ), which consists of three members . Its members are elected for four years by the departmental assembly. A president is at the head of the departmental council . The council is the executive body of the department.
The department assembly ( assemblée départementale ) supports the council in its work. The department assembly members are also elected for four years.
