Jérémie ( Creole : Jeremi ) is an arrondissement and the capital of the Grand'Anse department in southwest Haiti .

Jérémie is located on the edge of the country in the extreme southwest of Haiti and is one of the Haitian cities on the Gulf of Gonâve . The population census in 2003 identified around 31,000 residents. The Grande-Anse , one of the most important rivers in Haiti, flows into the Caribbean Sea at Jérémie over the Gulf of Gonâve .
