The Grand Hamad Stadium , actually al-Arabi Stadium ( Arabic استاد حمد الكبير, DMG Istād Ḥamad al-Kabīr ) is a football stadium in the Qatari capital Doha . It is the home ground of the al-Arabi football club and offers 15,000 seats. 13,000 places are available for international matches. It was u. a. for the Asian Games 2006 , where it hosted various events, such as football , table tennis , 7-a-side rugby and fencing, renovated in advance. The Iraqi national soccer team played their qualification for the 2014 World Cup here . The Yemeni national soccer team also qualified for the 2018 World Cup here .
