The Grand Pilier d'Angle is an elevation from the Peuterey ridge , which runs from the east up to the Mont Blanc de Courmayeur . It has a height of 4243 m , a notch height of 35 meters and a dominance of 0.7 kilometers. It is located in the Italian part of the Mont Blanc group in the Aosta Valley region .
The Grand Pilier d'Angle, until then only one point in the Peuterey ridge, only attracted mountaineering attention after Walter Bonatti's first ascent in the 1960s.
