The Grand Raid BCVS (former name Grand Raid Cristalp ) is the oldest mountain bike marathon in Europe. The event has been held annually at the end of August in the canton of Valais in Switzerland since 1990 . The main sponsor is the Walliser Kantonalbank / Banque Cantonale du Valais (BCVS) .
There are four different distances, starting in Verbier , Nendaz , Hérémence and Evolène . The destination is the village of Grimentz . The longest route is 125 km and 5025 meters in altitude .
As part of the Grand Raid BCVS, other competitions are organized in addition to the XC marathon :
- E-raid for e-bikes
- Flying Relay as a relay race
- Raid Net for children
