The Grandel or Grandl is a hunting term that denotes different trophies :

Cervids

Grandel (or Grandl ) refers to the canine tooth of ruminants (usually deer ). Most ruminants lack the fangs in the upper jaw as well as the canines; a plate takes its place. Some types of the cervids (deer-like) so z. B. Cervus elaphus ( red deer ), however, have canine teeth in the upper jaw. These are taken from the teeth as hunting trophies by hunters . The tooth has been used as jewelry since the Paleolithic .

Tetrao urogallus (wood grouse)

The hunter also calls a trophy from the capercaillie a grandl . This refers to the first feathers from the bird's wing bow .
