description

The Grange House, designed in the Scottish Baronial Style with Renaissance details from the 17th century, is isolated off the A706 between the towns of Linlithgow and Bo'ness . The two-story villa has a square floor plan and is plastered with Harl , with the edges of the building being set off with cream-colored, polished sandstone . A four-story tower with crenellated reinforcement dominates the asymmetrically constructed south-facing front. With a stair tower, another tower with a conical roof emerges on the southeast edge. On the upper floor there is a renaissance window with a monogram and the year of construction. The ornate, two-winged entrance portal is designed with Ionic pilasters . The crown shows coats of arms and thistle motifs. The side of the building ends with two dormer windows . A gable surface emerges on the left.

The east side is also constructed asymmetrically with six windows on the right side, three crowned windows in the middle and an opening . On the left side, the facade recedes a little and is designed with Tourelle at an angle. Five windows are installed on the opposite west side. A gable surface with triple windows and ornamented window posts emerges half-right . On the right there is a one-story winter garden with a curved opening. On the left, on the north-facing rear, a gable surface with a staircase protrudes slightly. The rest of the facade is seven axes wide and designed with twin windows. On the fifth axis from the right, a segment arched doorway leads to the inner courtyard.
