The Grange aux dîmes ( tithe barn ) in Coulommiers , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 13th century.

history

The tithe barn belonged to the Commanderie of the Knights Templar , it has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as part of the complex since 1996 as Monument historique .

The tithe barn was used by the manor to store tithe . While the quarry stone masonry comes from the time it was built, the roof structure of the gable roof was renewed in the 16th century using chestnut and oak wood.
