The Gransee newspaper (GZ for short) is a local daily newspaper that has been published in the Oberhavel district since 1991 . The sold circulation is 3365 copies, a decrease of 46.1 percent since 1998. The local newspaper belongs to the Oranienburger Generalanzeiger , a new newspaper founded in the area of the former GDR , which has established itself as one of the few on the newspaper market. Together with the Oranienburger Generalanzeiger , the GZ is the daily newspaper with the highest circulation in the Oberhavel district and thus a competitor of the local edition of the Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung .
Sister newspapers
Three other sister newspapers appear in association with GZ:
- Oranienburger Generalanzeiger ( Oranienburg )
- Ruppiner Anzeiger ( Neuruppin )
- Hennigsdorfer Generalanzeiger ( Hennigsdorf )
All four titles achieve a total sold circulation of 15,699 copies. The local newspapers are printed in the Oberhavel printing house in Oranienburg in the Rhenish format .
history
Since October 19, 1991, the Gransee-Zeitung has been published Monday to Saturday in its distribution area in the north of the Oberhavel district. Since January 1, 2011, the newspaper has belonged to Märkische Verlags- und Druckhaus GmbH & Co. KG (MVD) , which also publishes the Märkische Oderzeitung , which designs the supraregional part of GZ. Before that, GZ belonged to Dirk Ippen's publishing group . Until 2012, the shareholders of the MVD were each half the Neue Pressegesellschaft mbh & Co. KG (publisher of the Südwest-Presse ) and the Stuttgarter Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (publisher of the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten ). At the end of 2012 the Neue Pressegesellschaft took over all shares.
