history

The Hennigsdorfer Generalanzeiger was founded in 2007 as a local edition of the Oranienburger Generalanzeiger. The aim of the new establishment was a stronger focus on the Hennigsdorf / Velten conurbation near Berlin. Oranienburger Generalanzeiger, Hennigsdorfer Generalanzeiger, Gransee Zeitung and Ruppiner Anzeiger are published by Märkisches Zeitungsverlag, which has been part of the Märkisches Verlags- und Druckhaus (MVD) in Frankfurt (Oder) since January 1, 2011 . The MVD also publishes , among other things, the Märkische Oderzeitung , which designs the supraregional part of the HGA. Before that, the newspaper belonged to the Westfälische Anzeiger Verlagsgesellschaft mbH and Co. KG and thus to the publishing group of Dirk Ippen . Until 2012, the shareholders of the MVD were each half the Neue Pressegesellschaft mbh & Co. KG (publisher of the Südwest-Presse ) and the Stuttgarter Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (publisher of the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten ). At the end of 2012 the Neue Pressegesellschaft took over all shares.
