The Grassberry River is an approximately 110 km long left tributary of the Saskatchewan River in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan .

River course

The Grassberry River has its origin in Sarginson Lake , 150 miles northeast of the city of Prince Albert . The Saskatchewan Highway 106 (Prince Albert - Flin Flon ) crosses the river after about one kilometer, just before the Grassberry River reaches Limestone Lake . The river runs along the western edge of the Canadian Shield . There are other lakes along its course: Hand Lake , Bigstone Lake , Acheninni Lake , Suggi Lake and Windy Lake . Below Windy Lake , the Grassberry River flows another 22 miles south before it meets a left arm of the Saskatchewan River, which later flows into Cumberland Lake . The catchment area covers around 2100 km².
