The Grasshopper Cup 2013 took place from April 22nd to 27th, 2013 in Zurich , Switzerland . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2012/13 and belonged to the International 35 category . The two Challenger tournaments Western Province Open 2013 in Cape Town and Cannon Kirk Homes Irish Squash Open 2013 in Dublin took place at the same time .
The defending champion was Daryl Selby , who also reached the final this year. Alister Walker , who was placed fourth, decided this for himself with 11: 4, 5:11, 12:10, 9:11 and 11: 2. It was Walker's first title at the tournament and the eighth overall of his career.
At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 35,000.
