Grayndler (constituency)

Grayndler is one of 150 constituencies used to elect the Australian House of Representatives .
It is located within Sydney in the state of New South Wales in Australia . It includes the Inner West defined by the districts of Annandale , Ashfield , Dulwich Hill , Enmore , Haberfield , Hurlstone Park , Leichhardt , Marrickville , Newtown , Petersham , Stanmore and Summer Hill .
The constituency was created in 1949 and named after the Australian politician Edward Grayndler . Many workers lived there when the constituency was founded. By gentrification and immigration, the demographics changed greatly. Still, the Australian Labor Party remained the leading party. In the 2010 general election , the Australian Greens achieved 25.9%. The winner of the election, however, was Anthony Albanese from the Australian Labor Party .
