The Green Valley is a steep-walled valley filled with glacial ice in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It lies on the east side of the Ford Massif north of the Janulis Spur in the Thiel Mountains .
Peter Bermel and Arthur B. Ford , who jointly led a United States Geological Survey expedition to the Thiel Mountains from 1960 to 1961, named it after David H. Green, a participant in the expedition.
