Greenville is an American municipality in New Castle County in the US state of Delaware . It has 2326 inhabitants (status: 2010 census). The municipality is located at the geographical coordinates 39.78 ° north, 75.60 ° west. The municipal area has a size of 7.1 km².

Demographic statistics

The 2010 census found a population of 2,326. These were distributed over 1,076 households in 654 families. The population density was 327 / km². There were 1,395 buildings, which corresponds to a density of 196.5 / km².

The population in 2010 was 85.7% white, 7.2% Asian, 4.8% African American, and 0.9% other. 1.3% said they came from at least two of these groups. 3.4% of the population were Hispanics belonging to any of the above groups.

21.1% were under 18 years of age, 3.7% between 18 and 24, 22.5% between 25 and 44, 28.8% between 45 and 64 and 24.0% 65 and older. The mean age was 46.6 years. For every 100 women over the age of 18 there were 89.6 men.
