Greg Britz began his career as a hockey player in the team at Harvard University , for which he was active from 1979 to 1983 in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . On November 2, 1983, he then signed a contract as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs , for which he came to seven missions in the National Hockey League in the following two years . However, the attacker was never able to prevail with the Canadians, so that from 1983 to 1986 he was almost exclusively on the ice for their farm team , the St. Catharines Saints , in the American Hockey League . In November 1986, the American finally moved within the NHL as a free agent to the Hartford Whalers , for whom he only played in one game in the NHL in the 1986/87 season. The rest of the season he spent again in the AHL, where he scored 28 goals and 19 templates for Hartford's farm team Binghamton Whalers in a total of 87 games. After the end of the season, he ended his career at the age of 26.
