Gregor Hoop (* May 22, 1964 ; † August 27, 1990 ) was a Liechtenstein ski racer .
biography
Hoop started at the age of 18 at the World Ski Championships in Bormio in 1987 and was able to achieve 16th place in the Alpine Combined. At the 1988 Winter Olympics , Hoop was part of the Liechtenstein Olympic team . He finished 38th in the downhill race and 14th in the Alpine Combined . In the slalom he was eliminated in the first run. A year later at the World Championships in Vail he was able to confirm his result with 19th place. After that season, Hoop ended his career as a ski racer. He died in a traffic accident in August 1990 at the age of 23.
