Gregor Lederwasch V

Gregor Lederwasch V (born November 9, 1752 in Tamsweg ; † August 7, 1819 there ) was a painter from the Salzburg family of painters Lederwasch . He was a son of Gregor Lederwasch IV .

Gregor delivered u. a. 1796 the crack for the gallery of the church Sankt Margarethen im Lungau .

Gregor Lederwasch V was not only a painter in Tamsweg, he was also an engineer and as such was commissioned by Prince Archbishop Hieronymus Colloredo around 1790 to carry out measurements, and on their basis plans and cost estimates for relocating the avalanche-prone Radstädter Tauernstrasse to the Weißpriachtal, the Oberhüttensattel and to work out the Forstau valley. In his report, Lederwasch also drew attention to the fact that the Weißpriacher Winkel is rich in precious metals and therefore to be recommended for an examination by a skilled miner.
