Gregor Lederwasch IV

Gregor Lederwasch IV (born June 18, 1727 in Tamsweg , † June 18, 1792 ibid) was an Austrian painter and geometer from the Salzburg family of painters Lederwasch .

Life

Gregor Lederwasch IV was a son of Gregor Lederwasch III . Gregor IV's sons were Gregor Lederwasch V , Seraphin Lederwasch and Johann Lederwasch .

Gregor IV was a student of his father Gregor Lederwasch III and, like his ancestors and descendants, was sacristan of the pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard ob Tamsweg . As a painter and geometer he had so many commissions that he soon ceded the office of sacristan to his son. As an engineer, Gregor Lederwasch played a key role in the measurement of the Leopoldskron moss necessary for drainage , and in doing so acquired the title of a princely engineer .
