Gregor Simon (canoeist)
Gregor Simon (* 1963 ) is a former German canoeist in white water racing .
Simon started for the WSV Blau-Weiß Bonn (BWB) in 1977, together with Stephan Eich until 1997 , in 1998 with Peter Müller , from 1999 with Thomas Haas in the two-man canoe (C2). Among other things, Simon, who is the chief police commissioner in personal protection by profession , won five world championship titles (once in the individual evaluation and four times with the team), one European and 16 national titles (eight of which were German champions). In November 2006 he ended his career as a competitive athlete. However, he is still part of the coaching and supervisory staff of the German national team.

- Between 1992 and 1995 with Nicola Philippi three times German mixed canoe champion
- 1998 with Peter Müller in Garmisch-Partenkirchen individual world champion, vice world champion with the team and German champion.
- 2000 victory in the overall World Cup, along with some World Cup and European Championship medals and German titles
- 2011 bronze medal in the C2 team at the sprint world championships in white water racing in Augsburg
