Marieulles is a French commune with 703 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

geography

Marieulles is located about 15 kilometers south of Metz at an altitude between 183 and 375 m above sea level. The municipality covers 8.19 km². The A31 car route , which runs in north-south direction, divides the area of ​​the municipality in the middle.

The village of Vezon, a little to the north, also belongs to the municipality of Marieulles.

history

The place was first mentioned in 691 as Mariolas .
