The canton of Les Coteaux de Moselle is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Metz , in the department of Moselle and in the region of Grand Est (until the end of 2015 Lorraine ); its main town is Moulins-lès-Metz .

history

The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. Its communes come from the former cantons of Ars-sur-Moselle (all 18 communes), Verny (8 of the 36 communes), Woippy (2 of the 8 communes) and Montigny-lès -Metz (1 of the 7 municipalities). The number of municipalities decreased in 2016 by the union of Ancy-sur-Moselle and Dornot the new commune nouvelle Ancy-Dornot to 28 in 2019, the number of municipalities decreased by the merger of Rezonville and Vionville the new commune nouvelle Rezonville-Vionville on 27.
