Cuvry is a French commune with 847 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

The municipality of Cuvry is located on the Seille , about ten kilometers south of Metz at an altitude of between 167 and 198 m above sea level. The municipality covers 5.44 km².

The village bore the Germanized name Kubern from 1915-1918 and 1940-1944 .
