Trémery is a French commune with 1,063 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz and the canton of Le Pays messin (until 2015: canton of Vigy ).

history

1915–1918 it bore the German name Tremerchen and 1940–1944 Tremeringen .

Trémery is the location of the world's largest production facility for diesel engines . The PSA Group produces 8000 units here every day and employs around 3800 people.
