Lorry-lès-Metz (formerly German Lorringen ) is a French commune with 1786 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

The community borders in the southeast on the part of Metz to the left of the Moselle . The municipality covers 6.09 km².

history

The city bore the German name Lorringen from 1915 to 1918 and Loringen from 1940 to 1944 .
