Holzschachen is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Weistrach in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 59 building areas with 28,241 m² and 53 gardens on 138,368 m² in the cadastral community of Holzschachen and in 1989/1990 there were 58 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 87 and in 2009/2010 there were 82 buildings on 150 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 273 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 69 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 282 hectares and 69 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 260 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 71 hectares. The average floor climate of wooden chutes is 49.2 (as of 2010).
