Schwaig is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Weistrach in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 72 building areas with 31,838 m² and 43 gardens on 189,727 m² in the cadastral community of Schwaig, in 1989/1990 there were 70 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 126 and in 2009/2010 there were 80 buildings on 117 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 384 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 184 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 372 hectares and 207 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 367 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 209 hectares. The average soil climate in Schwaig is 32 (as of 2010).
