Anselm luck
Anselm Glück , actually Friedrich Anselm Glück , (born January 28, 1950 in Linz , Upper Austria ) has lived in Vienna as a freelance writer, painter and graphic artist since 1978 . There he deals with experimental literature, partly with his own illustrations, poetic performances and art exhibitions.
life and work
After training as a chemist, Glück attended lectures in sinology and ethnology in Vienna and studied four semesters of commercial graphics at the art college in Linz. His first texts appeared in 1974. In addition to prose texts, he has since written plays and an opera libretto (“inland”, 2001).
Glück's poetic process consists in the alienation of his subjects in montages and collages , which he prefers both in his text production and in his painterly and graphic works that are exhibited in many places. He also became known through his appearances, for example in literature houses, which are more poetry performances than readings . Glück has received numerous honors for his work, including the City of Vienna Prize for Literature 2012.
