Jouy-aux-Arches is eight kilometers southwest of the city center of Metz on the right bank of the Moselle .
history
Jouy-aux-Arches was first mentioned in 745 as Gaudiacum .
1915–1918 and 1940–1944 it bore the Germanized name Gaudach .

Culture and sights
