Coin-lès-Cuvry is a French commune with 726 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

geography

The municipality of Coin-lès-Cuvry (Coin bei Cuvry ) is located in the Seille valley , about ten kilometers south of Metz at an altitude between 171 and 235 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.65 km².

history

The village was first mentioned as Coing in 1367 .

In the years from 1915 to 1918 and 1940 to 1944 Coin-lès-Cuvry carried the Germanized name Kuberneck .
