Buchy is a French commune with 99 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

geography

Buchy is located 18 kilometers south-east of Metz at the intersection of the MetzChâteau-Salins and Pont-à-Mousson - Saint-Avold highways . Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport is located just west of the municipality .

history

The small village bore the German name Buchingen from 1915 to 1918 and from 1940 to 1944 .

The Saint-Pierre church dates from 1770.
