Marsilly is a French commune with 579 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region ( Lorraine until 2015 ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

Marsilly is eight kilometers east of Metz at an altitude between 234 and 269 m above sea level. The municipality covers 3.22 km².

history

The village bore the Germanized name Marzellingen from 1915 to 1918 and 1940 to 1944 .
