Bronvaux is a French commune with January 1, 2017 inhabitants (January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Metz .

geography

The municipality of Bronvaux is located in the valley of the Bitteron , about ten kilometers northwest of Metz at an altitude between 215 and 354 m above sea level. The municipality covers 1.57 km².

history

The village was first mentioned as Brunvall in the Middle Ages .

1915-1918 it bore the Germanized name Brunwals and 1940-1944 Brauntal .
