The canton Le Sillon mosellan is a French canton in the arrondissement of Metz , in the department of Moselle and in the region of Grand Est (until the end of 2015 Lorraine ); its main town is Maizières-lès-Metz .

The canton was created when the French cantons were redistributed in 2015. Its communes come from the former cantons of Maizières-lès-Metz (all 5 communes) and Woippy (2 of the 8 communes).

In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the four candidate pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Julien Freyburger / Valérie Romilly (both UMP) won against Claude Boulange / Laurence Burg (both FN ) with a share of the vote of 64.89% (turnout: 41.25%).
