The large-eared Trespe ( Bromus diandrus ) is a species of Trespen ( Bromus ) in the sweet grass family (Poaceae).
features
The large-year brine is an annual , possibly also winter annual plant that reaches heights of 15 to 80 centimeters. The lower leaf sheaths are scattered wire-haired. The stalk is usually hairy under the panicle . The length of the spikelets , including the (20) 30 to 60 millimeters long awn , is 60 to 90 millimeters. The lemmas are very rough and 22 to 36 millimeters long.
Flowering time is in May and June.
The seeds are short-lived.
The number of chromosomes is n = 56.
Occurrence
The large year bred comes in the Mediterranean. in Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. It is a neophyte in South Africa, North, Central and South America, Australia and New Zealand. It is seldom found in Germany. It occurs in West Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin on dry ruderal sites such as rubble and transshipment points.
