The Großbottwarer Tor (also known as the Upper Gate ) in Mundelsheim , a municipality in the Ludwigsburg district in Baden-Württemberg , was built in the late Middle Ages . The high archway made of quarry stone was provided with a half-timbered structure in 1539 . Originally the gatekeeper and later the cowherd and swineherd lived in the gatehouse.
