The Great Synagogue in Piotrków Trybunalski (German Petrikau ), a Polish city ​​in the Łódź Voivodeship , was built from 1791 to 1793. The derelict synagogue is a protected cultural monument .

The synagogue in oriental style was built according to plans by the builder David Friedlander .

During the Second World War , the synagogue building of the Orthodox Jewish community was devastated by the German occupiers and rebuilt between 1964 and 1966.

The former synagogue has been used as the city library since 1968 . The building was extensively renovated in 2012.
