Barcelona Grand Prix (motorcycle)
The Barcelona Grand Prix was an international motorcycle race that was held 19 times between 1933 and 1963 on the Circuit de Montjuïc in the Parc de Montjuïc in Barcelona .
The record winner was the exceptional Irish driver Stanley Woods , who won the race three times in different classes.
history
The Barcelona Grand Prix was first held in 1933. Between 1937 and 1946 the race did not take place due to the Spanish Civil War and the subsequent Second World War .
In 1946 racing activities were resumed. In 1950 the race officially became the Spanish Grand Prix and was part of the Motorcycle World Championship from 1951 . Until 1963 , the Spanish Grand Prix was also the Barcelona Grand Prix.
