The Große Schierensee is a lake in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in the German state Schleswig-Holstein, northwest of the village of Schierensee . The lake is about 50 hectares in size and up to 11.7 m deep and is described by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Environment as a lime-rich, stratified lowland lake with a relatively large catchment area. The layered lake is part of the Obereider water system , Kiel Canal

There is a swimming area at the large Schierensee.
