The Great Werder in Magdeburg is an Elbe island. The main river of the Elbe separates it from the western bank of the Elbe and the Old Elbe from the right. The island is about 6 km long and has an area of ​​about 5 km². The island also forms the Magdeburg district of Werder .

The south of the island is occupied by the Rotehornpark , Magdeburg's largest city park.
