Great stone graves near Kossebade

The megalithic graves near Kossebade were four megalithic tombs from the Neolithic funnel beaker culture near Kossebade , a district of the municipality of Obere Warnow in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). They were destroyed in the 19th century.

The exact location of the graves is not known. South of Kossebade is the large stone grave Grebbin , in the immediate vicinity of which there were originally seven other facilities. To the west of Kossebade are the large stone graves of Frauenmark and the large stone graves near Friedrichsruhe .

A grave was examined by Friedrich Wilhelm Zinck around 1805 . However, it was empty. Another grave was drawn by him, which shows that it was a large dolmen . There is no further information about the orientation, dimensions and type of grave about the other graves.
