Kossebade is a district of Obere Warnow in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Kossebade is one of the oldest places in the district.
geography
Kossebade is northwest of Grebbin . Zölkow is north of Kossebade , Woeten and Herzberg to the east and Friedrichsruhe to the west . The place is located in an area of boggy meadows. The Warnow runs north of the village .
history
Kossebade emerged as a round village . On September 16, 1250, Kossebade was first mentioned in writing in a decree by the Schwerin bishop Rudolf . In 1324 the place was pledged to the knight Johann von Plessen . In 1872 the location was enlarged. In 1873 part of the Tannenberg was bought by the community of Zölkow and the community was further enlarged. In 1945 the population increased significantly as a result of resettlements and refugees after the end of the Second World War .
On January 1, 1951, Kossebade came to the Grebbin community .
On January 1, 2012, Kossebade became part of the municipality of Obere Warnow .
