Obere Warnow is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany), which was created on January 1, 2012 from the merger of the municipalities of Grebbin and Herzberg . The municipality is administered by the Parchimer Umland office , based in the city of Parchim .

The municipality of Obere Warnow is located in a hilly landscape. The source of the eponymous Warnow is located in the municipality.
The districts of Grebbin , Herzberg , Kossebade , Lenschow , Woeten and Wozinkel belong to the municipality of Obere Warnow .
history
After the residents' assemblies in the two communities, the mayors signed the territorial change agreement on April 7, 2011, which provided for the merger to form the new community of Obere Warnow.

Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "• GEMEINDE OBERE WARNOW • LANDKREIS LUDWIGSLUST-PARCHIM".
