Malk Göhren is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is administered by the Office Dömitz-Malliß , based in the city of Dömitz .

geography

The municipality of Malk Göhren is located in the Griesen area in southwest Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The Elde Canal, which is part of the Müritz-Elde waterway , flows through the municipality to the southwest in the direction of the Elbe . The federal road 191 runs through the municipality from Ludwigslust to Dömitz. Malk Göhren had a stop on the railway line between these two cities, which was shut down in 2001. Instead, buses now run.

The community consists of the districts Liepe, Malk Göhren and Neu Göhren.

history

Malke was first mentioned in 1158 and Gorne in 1308.

On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Malk was incorporated into Göhren.

Göhren was renamed Malk Göhren on November 3, 1993 .

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE MALK GÖHREN".
