Neu Gülze is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is administered by the Boizenburg-Land Office , based in the non-official city of Boizenburg / Elbe .

The community consists of the districts of Neu Gülze and Zahrensdorf. The Hühnerbusch settlement belongs to the Neu Gülze district.

geography

The municipality of Neu Gülze is located east of the city of Boizenburg, its southern part belongs to the Elbe-Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania River Landscape Biosphere Reserve . At the eastern border of the municipality, the Schaale flows south towards Sude . The federal highway 5 and the Berlin – Hamburg railway line run through the municipality, but the municipality has no stopping point.

history

The first documentary mention of Zahrensdorf dates from 1230 and can be found in the Ratzeburg tithe register . The name at that time was Tsarnekestorp and means village of Čarnek

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Zahrensdorf was incorporated.

Coat of arms, flag, official seal

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription “GEMEINDE NEU GÜLZE • LANDKREIS LUDWIGSLUST-PARCHIM”.

  • Early Gothic stone church from the 2nd half of the 13th century in Zahrensdorf: the pointed arches of the narrow windows and the former north entrance are framed with brick. The brick choir, vaulted and connected to the nave by a pointed triumphal arch, has arched windows and is estimated to be younger, the wooden tower with brick substructure from the 15th century.
