Kuhstorf is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). It is administered by the Office Hagenow-Land , based in the city of Hagenow .
The district of Jammer belongs to Kuhstorf.
geography
The community is located in the Griesen area between the cities of Hagenow and Ludwigslust . The main town is divided by the Sude in Kuhstorf and the probably formerly independent town of Eichhof. North of Kuhstorf the Strohkirchener Bach flows into the Sude.

Reasons for the coat of arms: In the coat of arms, the river Sude is to be symbolized with the wave ledge. The oak branch stands both as a speaking symbol for the district of Eichhof, as well as for the former forester's farm there, the plow represents the farming village of Kuhstorf. |

history
Kuhstorf is first mentioned in a document as Curdestorp in 1363 and was a round town in terms of the type of settlement . Over the centuries, ownership changed several times as the number of inhabitants increased. The Duke Gustav of Mecklenburg maintained a hunting lodge in Eichhof until 1831.
