Warlitz is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). It is administered by the Office Hagenow-Land with its seat in the non-official city of the same name .
The district of Goldenitz belongs to Warlitz .
geography
The municipality of Warlitz is about 6.5 kilometers south of Hagenow and its southern part is part of the Elbe-Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania River Landscape Biosphere Reserve . The Kleine Sude and various ditches flow through the municipality or at its borders . The federal highway 5 runs through the district Goldenitz. In terms of the type of settlement, Warlitz is a dead end village and Goldenitz is a lane village with an estate.
history
The first documentary mention in the Ratzeburg tithe register comes from 1230. The names of the districts Warlitz and Göldeniz have a Slavic origin.
Warlitz: The bishop's supporter of the estate was the family and heir Johannes Gans around 1230 . Landowners were then the families Burchard von Lützow (around 1340/50), von Pentz (Danish line) (1450–1650), Major General and Baron or Count Hans Valentin von Schultz (until 1692), Count von Redern (until 1735) , Oberhauptmann Maximilian von Schütz und Erben (until 1782/83), Treasurer Joh. Friedrich von Veltheim und Erben (until 1798) and Oberlanddrost Franz Julius von Könemann (until 1945). Parts of the manor house can date from 1620, after which it was rebuilt and added on and renovated after around 2000 (today the bees' castle manufactory ).
Hufner (farmers) and Kotsassen were resident in the village (1540: 14, 1558 only 5); some operated primarily the wheel-making trade . There were two sheep farms in 1575 and three dairy farms around 1600.
Goldenitz was owned by the von Lützow family (until 1695), Colonel Charles and then August de la Motte (later Lieutenant General) (until 1753), von Pentz (until 1784) and von Könemann (until 1945). After 1946 the estate became an LPG and after 1990 part of the Warlitz agricultural cooperative. The manor house, designed by Heinrich Thormann, dates from 1860 and was open after 1945 a. a. Professional school. It fell into disrepair and was renovated in 2013/15 as the headquarters of luis energy GmbH .

Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off the neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE WARLITZ • LANDKREIS LUDWIGSLUST-PARCHIM".
Attractions
- Baroque church of St. Trinitatis in Warlitz from 1769, which has one of the last two surviving organs by Johann Georg Stein . Furthermore, the conception and symbolism of the church are taken into account by theologians.
- Two-storey mansion Goldenitz in Tudor style with royal stables from 1864 based on plans by Heinrich Thormann and park, today a residential building.
