The large stone graves near Lahn (Lahn IV or at the Kölkesdose and Lahn V or at the Kölkesberg) are neighboring Neolithic passage graves with the Sprockhoff numbers 837 and 838. They originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. And are megalithic systems of the funnel beaker culture (TBK). Neolithic monuments are an expression of the culture and ideology of Neolithic societies. Their origin and function are considered to be the hallmarks of social development.

They are located north of Lahner Strasse about three kilometers southwest of Lahn between the places Lahn and Eisten in the Emsland district in Lower Saxony .

The heavily destroyed complex (Sprockhoff No. 837) is located in a small group of trees and was excavated in 1953 and 1989. In the earth of the excavated hill, an urn burial from the pre-Roman Iron Age was uncovered above one of the cap stones. Around the remaining stones, 18 more cremations could be researched. The size of the chamber is difficult to assess. Of the existing stones that were no longer in situ, three or four cap stones and about nine bearing stones were likely to have been.

The facility (Sprockhoff No. 838) located in the forest is small but well preserved. Of the nine or ten bearing stones that were once in the ground, one or two are missing. One is missing between the two visible capstones of the north-south-oriented chamber. The access must have been in the west.
