Great stone graves near Wehm

The large stone graves near Wehm were several megalithic graves of unknown numbers from the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Wehm , a district of Werlte in the Emsland district ( Lower Saxony ). They were destroyed in the 19th century.

A grave, called Hünensteine , was north of the village near Kalkes Veen. Elisabeth Schlicht mentions a second grave. Other graves of unknown number are said to have been on the "Lüken Felde". The megalithic graves are located southwest of Wehm near Lahn .

According to Johann Karl Wächter, the large stone grave Hünensteine ​​was already partially destroyed around 1840 and still consisted of eleven wall stones and two cap stones. There is no information about alignment and dimensions. The grave type is not sure, but due to the size it must be a great dolmen or passage grave have acted.
